Electrology
Electrology is the practice of
electrical epilation to permanently remove human hair. It is still
the only true permanent hair removal method and the only permanent
treatment recognized by the FDA.
Electrolysis is the actual process
of removing the hair. Electrolysis
eliminates any hair and treats all skin types. A century of use
has proven electrolysis safe with no negative
side effects. No
other hair removal method can claim such universal success.
Hair removal process: The practitioner
slides a hair-thin metal probe into each hair follicle and then
treatment energy is delivered to the follicle through the probe,
which causes localized damage to the areas that generate hairs.
Reasons
for removing hair:
- Medical reasons
- Social, cultural, or aesthetic reasons
- Male-to-female gender reassignment
